Frequently Asked Questions About eXp Realty
1. What are the Fees and split at eXp?
No desk fee or franchise fees. There is a $149 startup fee at eXp realty in the U.S. Everyone has a $16,000 cap and we are all on an 80/20 split. Teams are different.
2. What if I am not in your market?
Doesn’t matter where you are located you can still name me as your sponsor when you sign up at eXp Realty. We don’t have franchises here so there are no boundaries to where you are.
3. can I bring my listings with me and what about my pending transactions?
You will find the answers to these questions in your current brokerage agreement. Every brokerage agreement is different. If you do bring your current listings with you to eXp Realty I would suggest downloading any documents you have up on the MLS before you transfer your license just to make sure you have them. You will at least in my case I brought 7 listings with me and I had to reupload all my listing documents. Pending transactions I got to finish with my old brokerage even after I transferred my license to eXp. Check your current contract.
4. What if I am a brand new agent. Is eXp going to work for me?
This is a good question and honestly it depends on the agent. Are you going to take advantage of all the tools and training eXp Realty offers? Are you a go getter someone that that dives right in? Your going to have tons of people to ask for help. We have 80+ hours of training a week. I have seen it go both ways so really you will have to make that decision.
5. Where is my office at eXp Realty?
You will have access to over 1000 different Regus offices but really your office is anywhere you have a computer and internet. When I was with Berkshire Hathaway I never really ever went to the office but yet I had an office fee. Didn’t make sense to me. So much now a days is done not in the office but at a coffee shop or your home office. That’s not to say an associate broker at eXp won’t have an office close by that we can talk to that would let you use it. That has happened several times someone will name me as their sponsor but use an associate brokers office that is close to them.
6. What if I want to be on a Team at eXp?
You can be on a team and still name me as your sponsor. That way you will get everything I have to offer and still be on a team in your local market. Reach out to me first before signing up.
