Video marketing has been the number one form of marketing for a while now and YouTube is the best place for real estate agents to get their message out to people. This is one of the best social media strategies for Realtors in 2021 so you NEED to be leveraging video marketing for real estate agents. 4 Tips for Real Estate Agents on YouTube
More goes into your videos than just creating them and uploading them I want you to pay attention to these 4 things to make sure your video doesn’t flop once you upload it. It took me a long time to figure this out. Leveraging video as a real estate agent is so important that you need to start a YouTube channel if you haven’t already. My goal by the end of the video is so you can start crushing it on YouTube. These are just the basics and a starting point but it is going to get you moving in the right direction.
YouTube Titles
You want to make sure the title of your YouTube video has a title with key phrases in it. TubeBuddy and VidIQ are great for this you will see me mention both of these programs frequently because you need one or the other. I would start with VidIQ if I was you because you get more with the FREE version than you do with TubeBuddy and if you are on a budget free is always nice.
YouTube Description
The description of the YouTube video needs to have key phrases in it as well of what people are searching for. and you can use things like vid IQ https://vidiq.com/, or Tubebuddy https://tubebuddy.com Keywords Everywhere https://keywordseverywhere.com/ to figure out what people are really searching for you in your market. There is another program out there called TubeBuddy which is also a good tool to use when you are doing your research and uploading your videos.
YouTube Tags
The tags help youtube decide what your video is about and again vidIQ or Tubebuddy https://tubebuddy.com are going to be great for this. They both will help you find the tags that are most appropriate for your video because as a real estate agent it isn’t easy to know everything. We already have to wear so many different hats that it is good to have a little help from programs such as these.
YouTube Thumbnails
Your thumbnail and a lot of real estate agents outsource their thumbnail on Fiverr.com but I encourage you to make them at first. It isn’t that hard when you use programs like Picmonkey or Canva https://canva.com both are great programs and you will hear every YouTuber talk about both. I enjoy Picmonkey https://picmonkey.com more because I think it is easier to use and you can do more with the text. If you really are good with design programs you might what to upgrade to Photoshop or Illustrator both can do more but they are both a little more difficult to use.
The rule of thumb when it comes to your YouTube thumbnail is to make sure you have a picture of yourself on the Thumbnail usually you want it to take up at least a 1/3 of the photo and then have big text. What seems to be working now is only to have 3 to 4 words on the Thumbnail and make the text big. You want to use colors that are going to make yours stand out from everyone else. A good thing to do is see what videos are ranking high for that key phrase and use it as inspiration.
